The Subaru Outback, introduced for model year 1994, is a crossover SUV that’s more like a ruggedized AWD station wagon; over the years, the Outback has gained a loyal following and a reputation for dependability and innovative features. For model year 2014, the Outback was in its fourth generation and boasted more ground clearance, a CVT transmission, a new palette of exterior colors, upgraded audio system and a choice of 4-cyl or 6-cyl engines. For ‘14, the Outback was available with Sport, Limited and Premium trim levels.
