The mid-engine Cayman is the sibling of Porsche’s Boxster sports car and is a capable, spirited performer in the Porsche tradition. When it’s time to shop 2014 Porsche Cayman tires, remember that this model is designed for a staggered fitment, with different tire sizes front and rear. Rear tires could be 235/50ZR17, 265/35ZR19 or 265/45ZR18, while front tire sizes could be 205/55ZR17, 235/5ZR19 or 235/40ZR18. Just remember that summer and UHP tires get their great cornering and braking performance from a softer, stickier tread formulation, but these tires will stiffen and lose traction on colder days. Summer/UHP tires shouldn’t be used when temperatures are below 40-45 degrees F.
