The different iterations of the Cherokee have been through five generations, and in 2018 the Cherokee had developed a reputation as an SUV that balanced ruggedness and power with refinement, surprisingly nimble handling and better-than-average fuel economy. The 2018 Cherokee was available in five trim levels (Sport, Latitude, Limited, Trailhawk and Overland) and could be had with a 2.4L 4-cylinder or 3.2L V6 engine and 9-speed automatic transmission, delivering up to 31 miles per gallon on the highway and better-than-adequate acceleration and torque. A brand new 2018 Jeep Cherokee might’ve rolled out of the factory with a set of Continental ProContact TX, Firestone Destination LE2, or Firestone Destination A/T tires attached.
