2018 Dodge Durango Tires

The 2018 Dodge Durango is a seven-seater SUV that comes with a high towing capacity and a powerful Hemi V-8 powertrain. Coming from the house of iconic muscle cars, the 2018 Dodge Durango gets an extra dose of attitude with flared fenders, ventilated hood, and a deep-set grille. Available in Citadel V6, Citadel V8, GT, R/T, SRT, SXT, and SXT Plus trims, 2018 Dodge Durango tires could be 265/50R20, 265/60R18, or 295/45R20, and a brand new Durango might’ve left the factory with a set of Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season, Bridgestone Ecopia H/L 422 PLUS, Kumho Crugen Premium KL33, or Michelin Premier LTX tires attached.

Pirelli, stand by your product!

The performance aspect of the tire on wet and dry roads is solid; however, the ride quality and construction of the tire is very poor - especially the sidewall. Fuel consumption has also decreased from my OEM set. I replaced the OEMs with this last year based on the reviews. I expected a slight drop in fuel consumption, but what I did not expect is the issue with the sidewall shifting that causes vibration at highway speeds. I purchased and installed them at the dealership. Mild vibration started at around 8,000 miles on the tires at about 65 to 68 mph. I returned the vehicle to the same dealership for service when the vibration became stronger and at a greater range of speed over the course of about two weeks. They first checked for signs of damage or abuse. After finding none (the Florida roads I travel are smooth and I drive at reasonable speeds), they decided the issue required deeper examination. It took a few days of testing and diagnostics for them to find the belts in all four tires were out of position from factory-standard, creating a resonance throughout the body of the SUV. They were able to implement a partial fix by rebalancing the tires to compensate for the vibration because PIRELLI REFUSED TO REPLACE THE TIRES even though it was apparent it was a manufacturing issue with this batch of tires. This was my first time with Pirelli (I usually ride on Michelins and Bridgestones), and it was not a good one. I might be among the minority, but I do NOT recommend these tires. Furthermore, a potential buyer should question purchasing Pirelli if they do not stand by their product.

The best for PA weather.

Had high hopes for these tires as I drive a Durango and visit several barns a week, which means driving through mud and snow in the winter. They are great in rain and snow! Had no problems getting up a hill with several inches of snow that hadn't been plowed. Only have them on for about a month so can't comment on wear yet. So far very good value.
