  • Every generation of light trucks, SUVs, and crossovers gets a little more refined and sophisticated as far as ride quality, road manners, cornering, braking, and overall handling dynamics. They need a tire that’s a good complement to what they have to offer, and the Zeetex HP5000 is a perfect choice in several aspects.

The Zeetex tire is durable, quiet, confident, and capable, but don’t just take our word for it – let’s go in for a closer look with this Zeetex HP5000 Max review.

    Features and Benefits

There’s a lot to like when it comes to the Zeetex HP5000 Max:

    • Circumferential and angled grooves work as a system to deliver wet-weather traction by diverting water away from the tire’s contact patch and resisting hydroplaning
    • Tread pitch computer-tuned and randomized to cancel frequencies and keep road noise low
    • Unique “helical” groove at the center creates a swirling effect for faster evacuation of standing water from the tire footprint
    • Advanced tread compound delivers long wear, low noise, year-round traction
    • 50,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty
    • Sidewall and shoulder are stiff enough to resist tread squirm and deformation when cornering at the limit, without hurting ride quality

    Pros and Cons

So, is this Zeetex tire is the right choice for your ride and budget? Before you decide, let’s take a look at the tire’s pros and cons.

    PROS:

    • More affordable than many competitor’s tires
    • Quiet, refined ride quality
    • Handling and road manners are great
    • Generous warranty coverage

    CONS:

    • Should not be used in moderate to severe winter weather conditions
    • Not good off-road conditions

SimpleTire’s view on Zeetex HP5000 Max tires

When it comes to replacement tires for SUVs and crossovers, there’s a glut of choices on the market to choose at every price point. Usually, the less expensive tires are a real “you get what you pay for” proposition, but the HP5000 Max from Zeetex is a tire that delivers real value that far outweighs its affordable price.

Even in heavy rain, grip with the Zeetex HP5000 is confident and never feels like the vehicle might be on the verge of getting away from you. On dry pavement, the Zeetex HP5000 is quiet, civilized, and composed, even when taking on potholes or irregular pavement surfaces. Road manners and straight-line stability are as secure as driving an armored car, but the steering response is direct and never sluggish. The Zeetex HP5000 is equally capable in its cornering dynamics while carving up a mountain road or negotiating an onramp. It’s a tire that doesn’t deliver UHP levels of performance, but it also never feels jittery or squirrelly even when pushed hard. The 50,000 mile warranty is also a nice plus, especially considering how affordable the Zeetex HP5000 is.

Granted, the Zeetex HP5000 doesn’t do well off-road or in heavy mud or snow, but it’s a highway-oriented all-season tire – that’s not the kind of performance it’s designed for.

I have a 94 s10 that's lowered about 4 inches. I have a staggered 19in wheel setup from a e46 BMW M3. Bought these because I dont put alot of miles on my cars so the tires dry rot before they go bald, so I couldn't justify getting more expensive tires. Drove the truck on tail of the dragon at night after a storm, and they performed pretty well. I do have a lot of tire for this truck, but i've experienced how bad these chinese can be and i'm happy to say these are step above and Id put these along side lower end Hankook's, Cooper's, Yokohama's
