Its tires are categorized into all-season, all-terrain, rugged-terrain, mud-terrain, UHP, performance, highway, UHP all-season, and summer types. Offering drivers of SUVs, Jeeps, and light trucks a solid off-road performance along with on-road comfort, the Radar Renegade R/T is a rugged-terrain tire engineered to deliver smooth and quiet on-road driving performance, alongside offering mud-terrain tire like superior off-road performance. The tire is acknowledged for its good value offering and comes equipped with many impressive capabilities. In this Radar Renegade R/T tire review, you will unlock the features and benefits, positives and negatives, and various other important details about the tire. Read on!

    Features and Benefits

The Renegade R/T is a rugged-terrain tire, which means they are capable of performing in rugged terrain conditions, like a mud-terrain tire. They can be taken on deep mud, rocky terrains, loose dirt, and extremely challenging uneven terrains. Rugged-terrain tires are also called hybrid-terrain tires, because they come with the capabilities of both all-terrain and mud-terrain tires. Other than going off-road like mud-terrain tires, these tires also offer solid on-road performance and better comfort levels. The Radar Renegade R/T is very much alike and has these qualities. But, it also comes with the capabilities of an all-season tire, which means the tire is optimized to perform in dry, wet, and winter weather performance on pavement.

To give you a better understanding of the Renegade R/T’s capabilities, we have listed the key features and benefits of this tire:

    • Increased stability – The tire features wider center tread blocks that enhance stability by offering greater balance and weight distribution across the tread. Thanks to the sturdy build, the tire remains stable in varied terrain conditions.
    • Better puncture resistance – The 3-ply construction provides greater strength to the tire and reduces the risk of punctures.
    • Enhanced steering responsiveness – The center tread blocks balance the weight of the tire and provide superior steering responsiveness. The wider footprint also helps in providing sure-footed handling on all kinds of surfaces.
    • Even and longer tread wear – The tread of the tire is designed to distribute the driving pressures and provide an even wear. Likewise, the deeper and robust tread blocks ensure slow and longer tread wear.
    • Impressive all- terrain performance – The tread block sizes and shapes of the Renegade R/T are computer-optimized and feature multiple lateral grooves and angled sipes that boost traction on different types of terrains. The dual sidewall design features mud-penetrating dagger-shaped lugs to provide enhanced biting ability when the tire runs through the mud. The tire is M+S (Mud and Snow) certified, which means it can provide strong traction while driving in conditions like muddy terrains and mild snow conditions.
    • Aggressive design – Radar has ensured that the Renegade R/T looks very aggressive and attractive to complement the vehicle's aesthetics. The footprint features big-sized tread blocks with unique grooves and the sidewall features a flaming demon design.
    • Covered by tread life warranty – The Radar Renegade R/T offers good value to its customers by offering a limited manufacturer tread life warranty of up to 45,000 miles.

The best thing about the Radar Renegade is that it is offered in a wide range of tire sizes that vary between 17- to 24-inch rims. Some of its popular tire sizes include:

All around great tires for the price. This is my second set. No balancing issues at all. Tread is wearing even. Highly recommend.

Good tire for the price but they do wear weird. Keep them rotated religiously.

I purchased these tires and my first impression was great but, tread wear is a pretty big issue with these. I have access to a fully equipped shop (via the dealer I work for) and mounted, balanced, aligned plenty of tires and vehicles. I rotated every 3k and these things just seemed to not keep a balance what so ever, not only that they cup insanely bad, which at first I thought may of been a suspension issue, but later found this was a common problem with these. It may have been a lemon set but other than that issue (which is a pretty big one) as far as mud, sand, rain, and snow, they perform very well! If you're on a budget I'd consider I'd probably rotate every 2k miles and should be solid but other than that I'd say save the extra money.

I wish I could post a picture of the first set that I had. They had 80,000 miles on them and ? 25% tread left. I'm keeping them for back ups. 75% interstate miles, 25% dirt/gravel. I drive a minimum of 1,000 miles/week. I rotate my tires religiously every 6,000 miles. Not very noisy at all, and smooth for such an aggressive tread. Coolest looking sidewall on the market. The "sword" side. Reminds me of Rockzillas. The best tires I've ever owned... I am never switching from these. Please, Radar, don't ever change em or discontinue them. They are perfect.

I installed these RT tires on my 2024 Toyota Tundra, but they were a huge letdown. They felt overly bouncy, making the ride uncomfortable and giving me the constant sense I was losing control. I decided to sell them on Marketplace and switched to regular tires, which have been a much better fit for my truck.

I drive 1,000 miles a week for work. I bought a set of these in November of '22. I just now replaced them! With an identical set. I am religious about rotating my tires. Every 6,000 miles, without fail. My first set has 77,000 miles on them, with life left in em! I could have gotten 100,000 miles if I ran them bald. Most of my coworkers are switching to them after witnessing, first hand, the insane mileage I got out of these. They're also the coolest looking 35's out there. I hope there is a place on here to upload pictures, I'll post what they look like now. Like I said, I'll never buy any other tire. These are outstanding!

Pros. Have over 35000 miles on a set with about 70% tread left. Rides great, performance is great in almost all weather Cons. Much louder then expected. Not the best traction on wet roads 3 out of 5. Holds onto rocks quite a bit

Do NOT buy these tires! I had 4 put on my Jeep renegade, after 7000 miles, my daughter was driving to college with me and the front tire exploded into bits on the highway, completely separated the tread from side wall. They ARE NOT SAFE. Do not buy them, I am in the process of an investigation with the warranty department. Simple tire is going to submit everything to the manufacturer. I am going to remove all these tires from my Jeep and replace with a better quality, fully expecting a total refund , I'll revisit this review and let you know...

Used for a few years now and I love them, after the first year the traction on wet rainy Roads gets slippery but a beast in snow for traction. I hunt up a steep hill in the winter with snow and couldn't have asked for a better tire. I'm here buying four more.
