Ultra High Performance (or UHP) tires have a speed rating of V or greater and are used on sports cars, super cars, and other powerful vehicles. Commonly featuring a wide footprint and low profile, UHP tires provide excellent traction and steering response but should not be used when temperatures are at 40 degrees or below.

Vehicle

This product is covered by a 50,000 mile manufacturer’s treadlife warranty. Merchandise covered by a manufacturer’s warranty is sold with the warranty by the 
        manufacturer extended to the purchaser. We will be happy to assist in obtaining fulfillment of a manufacturer’s 
        warranty. Other than applicable manufacturers’ warranties, there are no warranties, express or implied, 
        including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. The only tires SimpleTire can 
        warranty are brand new defects (meaning that they have not been mounted or driven on). Any bead damaged will be 
        void of any warranty claim. Any other adjustments should be taken to the nearest authorized dealer for that 
        manufacturer. Sometimes the manufacturer also provides a treadlife warranty and mileage rating. Please be aware 
        that not all tires hold a mileage warranty from the manufacturer. Different tire models, even from the same 
        manufacturer, may or may not come with a treadlife warranty.

Mileage Warranty

The maximum carrying capacity for a tire determined by the manufacturer.

Load Index

Maximum speed capability to safely carry a load for an extended period of time.

Max Speed

The side of the tire between the tread and rim, with cosmetic branding as well as information about the tire including manufacturer, model, size, etc.

Sidewall

Standards that measure treadwear, temperature resistance and traction, example: "640 A A".  The 640 is the treadwear test and it lasted 6.4 times longer than the comparison tire tested against.  The first "A" is the traction rating using straight-line wet traction on test surfaces (see information tables tab) and the second "A" is the temperature rating by testing operation at high speeds without heat-related failure (see information tables tab).

UTQG

Wet Traction is a piece of the UTQG for example if  UTQG is: 500 AA A, the wet traction piece is the second piece, the "AA".

Wet Traction

The highest inflation pressure (measured in pounds of force per square inch, PSI) the tire is designed to contain, and should only be used when called for by the vehicle placard.

Inflation Pressure

An identifier of a particular tire line and size combination assigned by the tire manufacturer.

The measurement of width from a tires inner sidewall to the outer sidewall.

Section Width

The range of widths the rim of the vehicle can be for this tire to be safely mounted on.

Rim Range

The diameter of a tire that is inflated without any load applied.

Overall Diameter

A three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol branded on a tire's sidewall indicates the tire meets required performance criteria in snow testing to be considered severe snow service-rated.
