I had bought Nitto's in the past and decided to roll to dice on the Kanati brand which I was unfamiliar with. I couldn't have made a better choice! I have put 15,000 miles on these so far with only the slightest but even wear. They are GREAT in ALL weather. They are even great on wet curves which my Nitto Trail Grappler's were horrible with. The Mud Hogs look similar to the Grapplers but are half the price of the Nitto's. They do not seem to be louder at all. I would definitely recommend!
I love this tire! I ran it mutiple times on my 2013 Xterra Pro4X and loved it. Good on the highway, not loud, great on trails and in the mud and the big lugs help keep snow from getting stuck in the treads. I live in upstate NY and in the way to the city to catch a flight for hit woth a squal that dumped 4-5 inchs out of no where. These tires handled it like a champ. Never had an issue.
I'm reading the negative reviews and don't get it. I put 15,000 on my 295/60R20 tires on a 6" lifted 2004 Suburban. They are wearing perfectly! I've had them up to 80MPH. I run them at 70MPH regularly on I-95 and other local highways without issue. Best bang for your buck! i like them better than the Nitto Trail Grapplers that I previously ran on the same truck.
I like my kanati mud hogs they are the best tire for all around use and at a real good price compared to all their competers
Love the tires and they are better than expected.
I really like this tire. And the brand is a solid brand. It has an aggressive look to it, and a smooth feel when driving down the road. There's not a lot of noise due to the sidewall tread. And the traction isn't comparison to need Nitro Nitros.
Kanati's Mud Hog is a mud tire that's designed for use on light trucks and SUVs and offers drivers aggressive off-road performance along with strong on-road traction.
Features & Benefits
Hitting trails and mud is a must for some drivers, as off-road adventures allow them to see just how tough their ride and tires are. Fortunately, mud tires are built to give drivers excellent traction off-road, and Kanati's Mud Hog does that while also offering strong on-road performance. Featuring a wide footprint that enhances traction and stopping power, the Mud Hog's optimized void radio cleans out mud, dirt, and other debris for consistent traction. Offerings drivers a surprisingly smooth and quiet ride, the Mud Hog includes a reinforced, 3-ply sidewall for greater puncture resistance.
