American tire company BFGoodrich has built tires for high performance over several decades and continues to do so with the Radial T/A. The company believes that its customers are known to possess the love of driving, based on which the tires are being manufactured. As an all-season tire, the BFGoodrich Radial T/A is responsible for strong handling and it showcases a classic look. This BFGoodrich Radial T/A review will show how the latest features help customers derive the best handling experience every time.
Features and Benefits
A performance-oriented tire must not be good enough just on the track, but it must look its part for buyers to derive confidence and feel proud. It’s here that BFGoodrich Radial T/A scores very well as it features a Raised White Letter Sidewall and inward-facing grooves that are responsible for superior grip. While variable groove angle geometry ensures long and even tread wear, performance-tread compounding is responsible for excellent control in dry, wet, and light snow conditions. You can be sure of no aquaplaning on wet surfaces.
Pros and Cons
The BFGoodrich Radial T/A rating is suitable enough for usage on several vintage performance cars, hot rods, American muscle cars, and tuners. If your existing tires are squealing too much, it would be a good idea to change to these.
Pros
- Precise steering responses
- Excellent lateral stability
- Showcases a muscle look
- Great dry and wet traction
- High performance
- Low noise levels
Cons
- White letters turn brown quickly
- Not recommended for use in heavy snow
- No mileage warranty
SimpleTire’s view on BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires
BFGoodrich is one brand that allows and encourages customers to maintain their old cars and derive pleasure from every ride. To be able to own and run legendary vehicles like a 1965 Ford Mustang or a 1933 Plymouth Street Rod is a privilege that is being realized through special tires such as BFGoodrich Radial T/A. Our BFGoodrich Radial T/A tire review found these tires to be very comfortable. The American tire company has mastered the idea of delivering a smooth ride on vintage cars and hot rods through these performance-based tires. The wide profiles on the tires make their respective vehicles showcase sporty stances. Although there are all-season tires for classic cars like the Cooper Cobra Radial G/T, there aren’t many which which offer all-season performance like the BFGoodrich Radial T/A.
Vehicles the BFGoodrich Radial T/A is a good replacement tire for
Owners of vehicles like the Ford Mustang, Subaru WRX, Pontiac Trans Am, and Plymouth Street Rod would want the necessary grip combined with the looks, which is what BFGoodrich Radial T/A excels in. Such a tire is most useful around corners, especially with the more-powerful hot rods.

I put these BFG tires on my 66 Mustang and they look outstanding , but they also perform . My Mustang was bought new by my Mom and I've owned it for a little over 30 years . I wish I had know about y'all before I bought this set. The price is great and you guys had them to me in a couple of days . My next set will be more of these BFG's . Excellent tires .
great customer service - great pricing - and fast delivery- Already recommended to friends and clients!
So far so good with my new TA Radials. Replaced some older tires on my 66 Mustang that used to squeal went I went around a corner more than 10 mph. When I got caught in some rain, they hydroplaned noticeably. So I figured it was time to re-shoe. My tire guy recommended the Goodrich TA's as the go-to tire for that 60's muscle car look and feel and I was blown away by the difference. Grip is now super solid and the squeals are gone, unless I punch it of course.
Put these on a 1979 Trans Am. Look good, ride good. Couldn't ask for better
