3. Pirelli Scorpion Winter 2 - Best Winter tire

When it comes to picking a winter tire in the 275/40R22 tire size, we’re going to go with the Pirelli Scorpion Winter 2. The Scorpion Winter 2 is designed with a low-temperature rubber compound that stays flexible for traction in subfreezing weather. Let’s wrap up this list with a great all-weather tire, the Celsius Sport from Toyo. If you’re not familiar with the all-weather category for tires, these are tires that are designed much the same as all-season tires but with an emphasis on enhanced winter performance, in the kind of conditions where all-season tires often just aren’t capable of getting the job done. The Toyo Celsius Sport is also designed to offer the kind of shorter braking distances, sharp steering response, and confident cornering you might expect from a UHP tire.
